Calligraphy vs Lettering
Calligraphy is writing letters while lettering is the art of drawing letters, with lettering you can use erasers, markers, chalk and crayons, whatever other tools you want to sketch and perfect your letters so that they look like they have been illustrated, each letter is unique and each is custom-made.

Typography
Lettering is when you create your letters from scratch they look the way you want them to look for a specific project where as and typography the letters have already been pre-made by someone who designed the typeface are you doing typography is rearrange those letters to make them look the way you want the individual letters themselves.

You will learn
In this course we are learning about lettering, you are going to sketch and doodle and write and play with all kinds of tools because you are creative and nothing can stop you. So dig deep into your creative soul and find that spark.

What people are saying...

I loved everything about this course! I've learned a lot more than just how to draw letters, you've sprinkled in the art side of it. Lettering is a beautiful art, and you've made it fun to learn. I'll be watching every video over and over again!

I've been interested in hand lettering now for awhile but two things held me back:

1) I didn't know where to start, and 2) I wasn't sure I could do it. This course is great because it tells you exactly what you need (or don't need) and gave me confidence that I can do this! Just play around and don't be afraid. I really love the grid and practice templates! Thank you!
